Stop Being The Gambling Loser

By Scott Hastings

Everyone essentially has the same chance of winning and losing when it comes to gambling. But it does make you question why some folk triumph so much and why others lose so solidly. If you lose lots of the time does it mean that you are a loser? No, not really. Your approach to gambling may actually be what's causing the problem. Try the suggestions below to work out if that is your problem.

Set a budget for winning and losing

Many of us think that they are losers because they lose so much cash. You want to set a plan for how much cash you are prepared to lose. After you get to that limit, then it's time to quit. Do not get sucked into the enticement to keep gambling in order to win back what you have lost. This could not occur. You will not win it back. When you have reached your financial limit, then quit. This also applies to winning. Set a restriction on the quantity of money that you'll win. Once you accomplish that goal, then give up. Don't risk that money with the thought that you may win more . It is more likely that you will lose it.

Don't scrounge to gamble

When you have lost all you can - you are done! Go home! Do not borrow any one else's cash so you can lose more. All which will do is cause you more Problems than you already have. Borrowing is one of the worst things you can do to sustain your gambling. You are just compounding the problem.

Set a cutoff point on gambling

in addition to having a financial budget, you also need a time budget. Whether you are victorious or losing, you need to set a cutoff point on the amount of time that you are going to expend gambling. No matter what your present position, when you have reached your time limit, then give up. Go and relax, take a nap or whatever, but get away from the gambling once your time limit has been reached.

Get some rest

Don't bet with out a break. Gambling can be very intense. And if you are gambling for a long period of time, the stress just keeps mounting up. So, take 5 when you feel exhausted. If you get too knackered, then you will begin making poor calls which will effect your game. Take a break, get some air, get something to eat or maybe take a nap. Then, once refreshed, you can return.

Engage in other activities

do not simply gamble. Have other things intended to do when you are not gambling. Other interests will get your mind away from the gambling and so will relax you and get you mentally prepared to take on the challenge once you return to the table or slots. Always have something else to do. Getting away can clear your intellect and give you different outlook.

Avoid stress and emotional distress

Don't bet when you are under a lot of emotional stress. This will only lead to Problems and issues. You can not think obviously when you are distraught or distracted. Keep away from gambling if you are under any type of stress. If you don't, the chances of you winning are least.
