Dallas Cowboys Stadium Ready For the 2009 Season

By Neven Middlesby

The new Cowboys Stadium opens Saturday with George Strait instead of Tony Romo, a substitution that says a lot about sports architecture these days.

Ten years ago, pro football stadiums were still mainly for football. They hosted a dozen or so games, including playoffs, plus a scattering of high school contests, rock concerts and rallies for this and that. The rest of the year they were as empty as luxury condos in a recession.

Originally estimated to cost $650 million, the stadium's current construction cost was $1.15 billion, making it one of the most expensive sports venues ever built.

Likewise, the demand for more bars, clubs, restaurants and so-called promotional spaces - Cowboys Stadium has 300,000 square feet of them, most in the NFL - means bigger concourses, bulkier buildings and potentially serious circulation problems.

The City of Arlington provided $325 million in funding, and Jones covered any cost overruns. Also, the NFL provided the Cowboys with an additional $150 million, as per their policy for giving teams a certain lump sum of money for stadium financing.

The upper concourses, on the other hand, provide plenty of maneuvering room along with panoramic views of the sprawling suburban landscape. Those on the lower levels seem more cramped, like obstacle courses, especially around the VIP lounges, where millionaires shake hands with billionaires and Joe Fan has to detour around them to get where he wants to go.

There was also a petition by some fans to have the stadium named after longtime Cowboys coach Tom Landry. On May 13, 2009, Jerry Jones announced the official name; the Cowboys Stadium.

At the same time, one of the major successes of the stadium is its transparency. Fans have clear, unobstructed views up, down and across the seating bowl to the not-so-scenic parking lots beyond.

Home Alarms Guide

By Christopher Williams

In today's uncertain economic times, many neighborhoods are seeing a rise in home burglaries and home invasions. Perhaps even more frightening is the fact that rather than burglarizing homes while homeowners are at work are away, an increasingly aggressive number of criminals are choosing to invade homes during hours when homeowners are likely to be present.

There is no denying that when a homeowner is present during a home invasion, there is an increased chance of injury or worse occurring. Consequently, many homeowners have made the decision to protect their properties and families by installing a home alarm.

A variety of home security options are available to homeowners today. Only a home alarm can provide homeowners with the full range of security they need to protect them during these times. The best option is a wireless home alarm system. This form of home alarm system emits a signal anytime an unauthorized individual enters the home when the home alarm is set. Such alarm systems can also be connected to a central monitoring system, providing complete assurance that the monitoring center will contact authorities in the event of a break-in. This can be comforting in knowing that even if a homeowner or neighbor does not respond to the home alarm, the central monitoring system will.

Furthermore, a home alarm can also provide security for other dangers as well. For example, in the event of a flood, fire or detection of carbon monoxide, the central monitoring center will notify the homeowners as well as the authorities. With this type of alarm system homeowners will have full peace of mind and security.

There are many benefits to choosing a home alarm system with monitoring, including the fact that you never have to worry about having to rely upon your neighbor to hear the alarm and report the break-in to the police. You will have complete assurance that the authorities will be contacted by the central monitoring center if a break-in occurs and law enforcement will be immediately sent to your home.

Wireless home alarms are also a much better idea than a wired home alarm. You will never have to worry about a savvy criminal simply cutting the wires in order to silence the alarm.

Homeowners can choose to have home alarms customized for complete security of their homes. Sensors are typically placed on the most common access points in the home. In most cases, this will be on windows and exterior doors. Home alarms can even make use of special glass break technology that will easily detect it if a criminal attempts to gain access by breaking a window. The home alarm can be set by entering a number code into the keypad. The keypad can be placed in any location in the home. A special keypad can even be attached to your keypad, allowing you to arm the system from anywhere, including your car or your bedside.

Your family and home's security is too important to leave up to chance. Most security options, including a guard dog, simply cannot provide you with the same level of security you must have during these uncertain times in order to protect you from aggressive criminals.

Towbars - What To Look For In A New One

By Damian Papworth

On a recent family camping trip, we decided to go "luxury". So instead of packing tents, we hired a caravan. Almost belatedly I realised I'd need to get a towbar fitted to the jeep. (This was actually an accessory I'd wanted for ages, I just needed a good enough reason to convince my wife it was necessary)

So I made my way down to All Vehicle Accessories (AVA) in South Melbourne with the intention of getting a cheap towbar installed. On arrival I was thinking the less money I spent on the towbar, the more I'd have for the holiday. In discussing these ideas with the AVA professionals though, I quickly learned just how silly this attitude was.

To begin with, they got me thinking about the types of things I wanted to tow. Obviously there was the caravan for the upcoming trip. Following on from that though, I'd probably buy some bike beaks too as my wife loves triathlons. We could take the bikes up to the Dandenongs for a ride.

They then showed me the value of the objects I was going to be towing. To start with, my bike is a bit of a cheapie. I only spent about $800 on it. My wife's though, well given her passion for triathlon training, she spent over $3000 for hers.

I ended up Googling caravan sales to get a feel for how much they are to buy. I didn't realise they were so expensive. I couldn't find anything for less than $5000 and I found quite a few which cost more than $100,000. You can buy property for that much... The one we rented was mid range, costing around $50,000 new. Its quite a "load" on the towbar when you think about it in those terms.

I really valued the advice I was given on this day. It completely changed my perspective in what I was buying when shopping for a towbar. It changed my mind regarding what I was looking for. Instead of shopping for price, I was shopping for quality, reliability, robustness and efficiency. Yes, that's right, efficiency. Different towbars actually make you vehicle perform differently too.

Having decided that, I delved further into the different towbars on offer. I was surprised to find out that there was only 1 towbar in Australia that offers a lifetime guarantee. Only Hayman Reese has that much faith in their own product. I thought that was a really interesting fact. So looking further at the Hayman Reece products, I also found 2 excellent accessories that really help with safety and efficiency.

Firstly, they have an accessory called a Weight Distribution Hitch. This important piece of equipment, when fitted properly, reduces the ball weight and therefore, the drag on the vehicle. If you are looking to save money on your towbar, think about this. Paying the extra dollars for this towbar and accessory will actually pay you back many times over down the track. Reducing the drag improves your fuel efficiency. That means that when you are towing, you use less fuel and save money at the bowser. This is an on-going saving, not the once off I was considering by going cheap with the towbar.

They also sell this cool gadget called Sway Control. It basically keeps whatever you are pulling on the straight and narrow, despite high winds, trucks coming the other way etc. Have you ever seen those retired people who are pulling a caravan behind them when a truck drives past the other way. Have you ever seen how much their caravan swerves all over the road when this happens due to the blast of air. The sway control stops this happening to you, making for a safer and once again, more efficient trip. This is very important to me given my family will be sitting next to me in the Jeep.

Its good when you go to an auto store and the professionals there actually give you advice, help you get past your preconceived ideas and make a better decision. I'm certainly glad the guys at AVA helped me see sense when it came to my towbar.

Matchbook Method

By Charlie D Jackson

The big idea with Matchbook Method is to make things easier for average guys to date women who would normally be out of their league!

Matchbook Method claims it is now easy to date girls you meet on Facebook and Myspace by cleaning up your profile and sending out some opening messages!

There is certainly logic behind cleaning up your profile to make yourself appear more attractive to girls.

The advice provided about having the right kind of photos and wall postings certainly make sense. When women see that other women find you attractive, therefore so should they!

Other advice about turning your relationship status off to keep girls guessing was something i had never thought about!

Only when your profile is suitable should you then select one from a large list of opening messages! I found these openers extremely clever! But the author makes no overstated claims as to there success!

The author claims and it's something i found also, that the Matchbook Method openers have a 1 in 3 success rate at getting a response from the girl! This why he suggests you send out multiple openers to many different women and play the numbers game!

The thing is though that when the girl replied, she almost always seemed to be "hooked!" It was then just a matter of following a flow chart of potential responses to send back to her!

Matchbook Method prides itself on being able to have a date set up with any hooked girl within a maximum of 4 exchanges! I have certainly found that is the case!

One problem i had with Matchbook Method is that by using canned openers and replies, you feel like you are cheating the girl by not being yourself! I wasn't too worried about this though while i was at a bar with a hot girl. By that time anyway i could be myself!

Matchbook Method also provides advice for when you are on the date, what to do, when etc and i found lots of useful tips! The private forum for members is also great for reading other peoples experiences with Matchbook Method.

To conclude, i had a lot of fun with Matchbook Method! I felt a little guilty at first but going on lots of easy dates with hot girls tends to make you feel better about it!

And because everything is carried out online, there is no real fear of rejection, something that cripples many guys out in the real world!

Amazing Suggestions For Your Winter Ceremony

By Aaron Hu

Winter is a special time of year when many significant and important holidays are celebrated by peoples of many faiths. It is also a time when family and friends gather together and enjoy each other's company. This is why this season is perfect in a unique and special way for wedding ceremony. The act of marriage has significant religious connotations in many faiths just like holidays celebrated during the winter months. It also is a time when family and friends come together to celebrate an important event. So take advantage of the benefits this season offers while planning your ceremony. If you feel daunted by the challenge of planning a wedding long after the peak months of spring and summer, don't fret. Here are some great tips and ideas to guide your efforts as you plan your winter ceremony.

When planning for the main ceremony always start with the venue itself. Due to the season it is most likely an indoor affair. Take advantage of the season by having the event at your religious house of worship such as a church or synagogue. Try to use wintry and holiday themed decorations when decorating the halls. If you want to use a lot of decorations without making the hall or sanctuary look like it is being prepared for a holiday service, go for wintry decorations like icicles, snowflakes and blue and white Christmas lights. This will give the hall a cool, solemn, and ethereal glow. A great design motif is a winter's night. Try using twinkle lights on the ceiling to simulate a cold winter night sky. Of course use adequate lighting so that everyone can perform their proper duties safely and properly as the ceremony progresses.

In the case of your bridesmaids, make sure their dresses are in keeping with the wintry theme. The colors to look are either gray, icy blue, or if you can dare to risk it miming your wedding dress, white. An important thing to remember is to make sure that the dresses are as flattering on your bridal party as fashionably and properly possible. Of course, make sure to either use one or two colors for all the dresses.

For the groomsmen, advise them to follow the same color scheme when choosing the vests and ties for their tuxedoes. In the case of winter it is better if you choose one color for all the groomsmen's suits. Another great idea is to use white or blue flowers for the lapel decorations.

The last thing to consider about your ceremony is the looks of your flower girl or ring bearer. The important thing is that both their clothes match your seasonal theme. A great suggestion is that you can use your imagination with the little flower girl's dress. Once again keep in mind winter colors when advising her parents about her costume. Also try suggesting a fantastical look like a winter sprite. A great suggestion in pulling this look is to give her wreath made of paper snowflakes and giving her a basket full of the same rather than traditional petals. For the ring bearer, dress him in a tuxedo similar to the groomsmen's tuxedoes. You can also try for something more adorable like a powder blue tux. Also make sure the ring pillow is in accordance with the winter theme.

Methods Towards Having A Successful Personal Training

By Fantasia Moore

The great thing about personal fitness trainers is that their training prepares them to assist others in realizing their personal fitness goals. The first step is to fill out a medical questionnaire with a personal trainer so that he can complete a fitness evaluation before beginning an exercise routine. Besides the establishment of goals, evaluating previous injuries and sporting experiences, and assessing current levels of activity, this questionnaire also serves as a tool for risk assessment. If the client does not pass this initial assessment, it will be necessary to obtain a physician's release prior to beginning a fitness plan.

After this, you will be asked to perform certain movements that will indicate your current fitness level. In designing an exercise plan, your trainer will use the information you provide about goals and desired timeline to best meet your needs. Initially, your body height and weight along with measurements that indicate body composition are performed, so that progress can be assessed.

Your trainer will be attentive to your nutritional level by requesting that you keep a detailed food log while you are participating in the training program. Since trainers have the necessary qualifications to assess your diet and provide advice on how you can make improvements, they will let you know if your diet is lacking and will advise you of healthy alternatives. A trainer will also offer you tips to help you fight diseases and health risks, so that you can lead a healthier and more enriched life.

Prior to hiring a trainer, make certain that he is qualified. The ideal way to accomplish this is by having him tell you their fitness association fitness number, and if it is active; most likely they have insurance also and have the required First Aid Level 2 certificate. In order to be certain, place a telephone call to the fitness association they have registered with for verification of their credentials.

With luck, this article has been of help to you, and meanwhile I hope you will be able to find the ideal personal trainer to assist you.

Get Into The Restful World Of Adjustable Beds

By Moe Kittaneh

Ever heard that you'll spend a third of your life asleep? This is based off sleeping eight hours a day (and eight being a third of twenty-four), so it's probably not exactly true. Why, then, should you still be interested in getting a better night's sleep with things like adjustable beds? Because sleep is essential for our bodies and we need a lot of it.

Too many people set aside the importance of sleep. Even when they have trouble sleeping, they tell themselves they don't need as much as other people do. To be fair, they could well be right. But they still often get much less sleep than is appropriate. A lot of harm can come from continuing this non-sleeping behavior over a long period of time.

You might be able to pass out on a couch in front of the TV, but you really should be sleeping on an actual bed. In the past, the closest people got was a pile of hay, and we've come a long way since then. Most beds use box spring mattresses. You want to pick a firmness that will help you sleep the best and decorate the bed as you like it.

While the basic mattress is the type of bed most people are familiar with, it has been joined by a wide range of other possibilities, from water beds to air beds and even foam beds. But, if you're looking, you should at least give some time to adjustable beds. Whether sitting or sleeping, these can adjust to a position that will meet your needs.

Actually, though, compared to some of the other beds mentioned, adjustable beds aren't that new at all. Still, you probably associate them mostly with hospitals, where they were mostly used when they first came on the market in the 1960s. Now, though, you can have an adjustable bed in your own room - and there are actually a lot of healthful reasons to do so.

Whether you have a serious health problem or just want to watch TV in bed, you could benefit from this product. They're especially good for people with back problems, since the bed can be adjusted in such a way that pressure will be removed from their spine, and they'll notice that they're feeling a lot less pain in the morning in their everyday lives.

Adjustable beds are seeing something of a new life, being promoted on TV and brought into new homes. This doesn't necessarily mean they'll get the admiration they once did, but they're still something that could help you get the relaxed life you've always wanted.

Suggestions for Happy Shifting Of Home

By Bill Simmons

Moving home can be a tedious job. If you can prepare yourself in advance, you can relieve yourself from some of the stress. This write up will help you understand ways in which moving can be made tension free. Getting to learn some skills in sorting out things will also be helpful.

Do not pack your boxes until you know what you are going to put in them. It is suggested to number the boxes and make a list of everything that you will be packing in each one. This will save you time when you are unpacking and putting stuff away. You will be able to protect things in a better manner. Be specific when labelling so you know exactly what the items are.

The number of cardboard boxes required for packing is difficult to decide. It is better to bee over prepared. If you end up buying wooden boxes, you can always return them if they are in good shape. Make sure you have packing material and tape as well.

Coordinating colour for all the rooms is important for a lot of people. One can always paint the storage boxes with the same colour as is that of the area. Keeping things one on top of the other will be more protected in this way.

For tension free packing, the best way is to get everything together first. To make the job of packing easier, try and keep your books and photos in a consolidated manner. By using a tape you can easily affix the tiny items to the products they belong to. Things that have been left out during packing can be just packed in one separate box. You may have packed some things separately but later on you can join them with their peers.

If you do not want to keep running around till the last moment, you should pack the boxes in advance. One way to stay stress free is by going on doing things on the moving day. You will then not feel any tensions in the whole job. We can successfully carry small items of daily use in travel cases and plastic bags.

If you live in a flat and want your deposit back, you will have to clean the flat properly. It will be easier to clean when you have rags and the right cleaning products. Begin cleaning whatever's possible much ahead of time. Once the remaining items are being taken out of the house you can finish the cleaning.

Have you ever lost valuables while moving? Make sure that you keep track of your precious belongings. Pack them into specific boxes that have been allotted to valuables. It would also be wise to check your homeowner's insurance to see if you are covered for loss or damage of these items.

Do not entrust your important documents to anyone. Keep all items such as policies and titles with you when you move. If you need a document, you shouldn't have to search for it. This can prevent a lot of undue stress.

There is no need to introduce the element of stress in the process of moving. If you follow these tips you'll face very few problems. The essential factor is knowing what to do and not waiting till the last minute to do it. You will be less agitated when the big day arrives.

The Best QBs for the NFL 2009 Fantasy Season

By Ernie Wu

1. Drew Brees: Brees was simply the best quarterback in the NFL last year, and he's a superstar. Especially when it comes to fantasy leagues. Brees had a handful of monster games last season, and it's safe to say that this season should be no different. Bonus points when you factor in Colston's return.

2. Tom Brady - QB - New England Patriots: 7/11, 72 Yards, 0 TD's, 0 INT's, 0 300 YD Games: Tom Brady missed almost all of last season. As you can see by his numbers. But in Brady's last full season he was absolutely unstoppable. He threw for 50 touchdowns. With a receiving core that has only gotten better, Brady will once again have another dominate year.

3. Peyton Manning - QB - Indianapolis Colts: 371/555, 4,002 Yards, 27 TD's, 12 INT's, 4 300 YD Games: Peyton Manning has always been a very consistent QB and also a very consistent Fantasy QB. Manning will once again have another Peyton type year including: 4,000 Yards and 25+ TD's. He is the easy choice for the number 3 QB.

4. Aaron Rodgers. With Brett Favre getting so much hype this season, it's hard to remember that his replacement in Green Bay is better than he is. Rodgers was great in 2008, with better numbers than Peyton Manning. His rush numbers are impressive and he has great receivers. Rodgers will be a great fantasy QB.

5. Philip Rivers: With a dangerous arsenal of talented receivers and great running backs, the San Diego Chargers offense is a well oiled machine. Rivers is an extremely talented quarterback and should lead his team to some big victories.

6. Kurt Warner. Who knew the old man still had it? What an amazing 2008 it was for Warner. He has the best two receivers in football by his side, and they do some amazing things - partly because they have such a talented quarterback throwing them the ball. Still, he's a risk to get injured at his age.

7. Tony Romo - QB - Dallas Cowboys: 276/450, 3,448 Yards, 26 TD's, 14 INT's, 6 300 YD Games: Romo had an ok year in 2008. With other QB's having better year's than him I put him here because he really is a good QB. I know he can be a baby and all but he really gets the job done and tends to fall out at the end of the season. Romo will have a good year in 09.

8. Jay Cutler: Cutler could go either way this year. There's no doubt about his talent, but the concerns have more to do with the fact that his receivers simply aren't as good in Chicago as they were with the Broncos. Then again, he has a much better running back, which may benefit him greatly.

The Story of Rajon Rondo

By Barry Hankast

1986 was just 23 years ago. In this short span, many great athletes have been born, grown up, and had huge impacts in today's sports world. Athletes are developing more quickly, and basketball is no exception.

1986 was also the year that Rajon Pierre Rondo was born. He was born on February 22 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised by his single mom, Amber Rondo. Rajon also grew up with two brothers, Dymon, and William.

Rondo entered the basketball world during his high school days, quickly establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with. During his junior year at Eastern High School, Rondo averaged over 27 points per game, over 10 rebounds per game, and 7 1/2 assists her game. Rondo switched schools for the sake of his basketball during his last year.

Rondo went so far as being named to the All-American high school team in 2004. During the All-Star game, he scored 12 points and stole the ball four times. While this was a memorable game, the real standout game for Rondo occurred during one game where he ended up with an amazing 31 assists.

Rondo was forced to choose between Louisville and Kentucky for college, and eventually opted to be a Wildcat. This proved to be a wise decision.

He quickly emerged as a top player at Kentucky, and in one game has pulled down 19 rebounds. A point guard did this. Rondo decided to leave school for the draft after two years.

In the 2006 NBA draft, Rajon Rondo was selected late in the first round with the 21st overall pick. The Phoenix Suns chose Rondo, who was later traded to the Celtics. During Rondo's first season in Boston, the team was all but competitive. However, a few key moves in 07-08 landed the team Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and everything changed. Rondo was quickly an All-Star caliber point guard.

Rondo's defensive abilities, his rebounding, and his overall maturity are all rivaled by very few NBA point guards. As he matures and develops some more, there is no doubt that Rajon Rondo will prove to be one of the better point guards in the history of the league.
